How to response after a car accident.

It is important to take out insurance for guarding yourself form any unexpected car accident, but you might be relieved it if you have a solution after a car accident happens.

No matter how safe you drive, there is no guarantee that you will never get involved in a car accident. You cannot avoid an accident even we have no fault.

Make sure your own safety is the top priority. Move the car to the side of the road and pull over.

Keep in mind that you have to go to the police nearest or in the area of the accident scene. For example, accident happened at Petaling Jaya, you have to report at the Petaling Jaya police station for further investigation. Don’t go to a police that is different from the one at  scene of the accident just because it is close to your home. In addition, note that the police refers to traffic police. Even if you go to a normal police station, you will not receive a police report for a traffic accident.

Once you have obtained the police report, follow the instructions of your insurance company.
